This is a premiere introductory avalanche skills training course specifically designed to meet the distinct needs of participants who intend to backcountry ski or snowboard.

Our Plus course is augmented by additional proprietary MSA curriculum and technical field skills. We specialize in backcountry skiers and boarders by running the course strictly on backcountry equipment. The indoor course is extended to a full day in order to teach additional critical backcountry safety theory. This course meets and surpasses the standards developed by the Canadian Avalanche Center (CAC).

AST 2 Plus Course MSA-A1M2
The industry's premiere Avalanche Safety Training 2 course. This is an intensive fast track course of intermediate level held in a world-class venue. It has been specifically designed for the backcountry skier/boarder that has completed the AST 1 course, possess' modertate backcountry skiing/boarding experience and is now looking to broaden their avalanche safety knowledge. This "Plus" course is further augmented by additional MSA proprietary curriculum and essential skills training. Indoor morning and evening lectures supplement avalanche theory and safety principles. While 4 days of extensive outdoor training focuses on additional avalanche safety skills. There is 37 hours of instruction over 4 days with 34 lessons covered.....read more
