A message from the founder

A warm welcome to the Mountain Skills Academy,

The mountains have always been a way of life for me. They have defined who I am, challenged my being and through them I have found great reward. Over the years my commitment to them has been nothing but total. Over the globe I have chased the summits, tested my skills against the great glacial ranges, established many first ascents and descents - in all the mountain disciplines. After earning my trade’s highest certification, I then worked the world over mainly focusing my time between the Alps and the Rockies. Throughout this time I was employed by over 20 operations in three different continents. All the while never losing for a second my drive and devotion to the mountain lifestyle.

All of this culminated to achieving my greatest dreams of all; becoming a successful family man, being a high achieving mountain guide and creating the worlds best mountain school and trips provider. MSA was designed for those, who like me, make the mountains their passion and take their mountain endeavors seriously.

I have gone to great lengths to carefully craft what I believe is the very best mountain skills curriculum found to date. This is based on years of personal and professional experience, exhaustive study and total dedication to the task. I have cultivated select trips that amazed me and are sure to delight you. I am proud to say that you can expect our courses and trips to be of the highest degree in quality and value – our good reputation counts on it and I would never have it any other way.
