3 Day Kids Camp

Experience the Squamish Via Ferrata, Enjoy a Hike Along the Sea to Sky Corridor, and Try the Low Ropes Course!

The Garibaldi Kids Camp is geared towards children ages 7-12. This 3-day program is specifically designed for kids with activities that have a shorter duration and age appropriate educational experiences. Children will be closely supervised while exploring the unique gems in the Squamish area. Activities include navigating an iron-rung Via Ferrata, walking the suspension bridge at the summit the Sea to Sky Gondola, an interpretive walk at Shannon Falls, and a low ropes course at Cheakamus Centre.  This camp aims to meet each child’s needs and outdoor interests.

Garibaldi Kids Camp includes meals, accommodation, transportation, supervision, all activities & tours, gondola tickets, gear rentals and safety equipment.

  • Squamish Via Ferrata – Campers will navigate a sky high climbing course!
  • Sea to Sky Gondola – Explore the suspension bridge & viewing platforms.
  • Shannon Falls – Campers will go on an interpretive walk to the falls.
  • Guided Hike – Campers will explore some popular natural gems in the Sea to Sky.
  • Low Ropes Course – Using teamwork and strategy, campers complete an exciting games course.
  • Sports & Games – Plenty of time for sports and games after a day of adventure!
  • Nature Walks – Campers discover the local flora and fauna on guided nature walks.

Base Camp

The Cheakamus Centre is hidden in nature, tucked into the forest and surrounded by greenspaces. It is a dynamic centre of excellence in environmental and experiential learning and will serve as the camper’s home base.

Packing List

Coastal weather can be unpredictable. Campers must be prepared to spend the day outside in all types of weather: sunshine, rain, wind, etc. Please plan, pack, and dress accordingly. We suggest downloading our recommended packing list.

  • Is transportation included?

    The adventure camps will include transportation to/from the activities. This leaves time for campers to sit back and enjoy the scenery of the Sea to Sky corridor.

  • Who is supervising my children/family?

    Mountain Skills Academy & Adventure’s certified guides and instructors are providing 24-hour supervision for camp participants. The team is made up of long-term guides and outdoor educators with years of experience.

  • Where will I be staying?

    Camp participants will stay in one of 9 rustic heated cabins at the Cheakamus Centre, Squamish BC. The centre offers year-round lodging tucked away in a peaceful natural surrounding. To see a layout of the cabins, click here.

  • What food is included?

    Food will be prepared and served by the Cheakamus Centre’s chefs. Cheakamus supplies locally sourced and thoughtfully prepared meals. Meals contain wholesome ingredients, making food from scratch, using their own herbs and vegetables from their garden. “This way we accommodate a wide range of special dietary needs, food intolerances and allergies without having to radically alter the menu, minimizing “special” servings. Sugar reduced diets, vegetarians, vegan meals, gluten free, and other food allergies are all far easier to accommodate when you use whole ingredients and are certain of their source.”

    *Cheakamus Centre is a nut-restricted facility, which includes all meals provided by Cheakamus Centre. In addition, any snacks containing nuts or nut products provided by an individual is strictly prohibited. This also includes any skin care and hair products that may contain nuts
