The most exciting camp on the coast!

Have fun in the mountains safely while learning some useful outdoors skills.

Kids Mountain Adventure Camp is geared towards children ages 8-12. This full day camp is designed for active kids with exciting adventures and educational experiences in the outdoors. Children are closely supervised by highly trained adult guides while exploring the beauty of Squamish. Camps run Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We go to the Sea to Sky Gondola for a Via Ferrata tour and a hike; we go rock climbing and hiking in the valley and include a variety of outdoor skills in each activity. Our first priority is safety, followed closely by fun! Book all 3 days or drop in for a single day.

Camps include tours, gondola ticket, instruction, and all safety equipment. Lunch is not included.

Packing List

Coastal weather can be unpredictable. Campers must be prepared to spend the day outside in all types of weather: sunshine, rain, wind, etc. Please plan, pack, and dress accordingly. We suggest downloading our recommended packing list.

The Details

  • What is the minimum age?

    Minimum age for the kids’ camps is 8 years old.

    Minimum age for the teen climbing camps is 13 years old.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Cancelling within 10 days of the camp start date: you forfeit 100% of the camp fees.

    Cancelling with more than 10 days notice: reschedule or full refund with no penalty.

     

  • Who is supervising my child?

    All camps are run by Mountain Skills Academy & Adventure’s certified guides and instructors. The team is made up of professional adult guides and outdoor educators with years of experience. Each guide has had a criminal record check done. We are committed to providing responsible supervision by our guides who enjoy teaching and working with kids and youth. We set a maximum of 6 campers per guide during to ensure the safety of your child.

  • What do I need to pack?

    Packing Checklist

    Weather on the West Coast and in the mountains is highly variable.  Extra layers make for a more comfortable day in case the weather changes while we are out.

    Daily temperatures at the camp in July and August range from 12-24 degrees Celsius (55-75 degrees Fahrenheit). It can be 10 degrees lower up on the mountains.

  • Is transportation included?

    The camps do not include transportation. The activities are within walking distance of each day’s the meeting point.
