Try it all! Squamish Via Ferrata, Whistler Glacier Experience, Rock Climb, Hike, Interpretive Tours, and Enjoy Fun Activities at Camp!

This action packed Tantalus Adventure Camp is geared towards kids ages 7-12 and youth ages 13-18. Campers try a new activity every day, plus get to explore Squamish and Whistler. Campers also receive educational experiences and get to spend their days creating friendships and special memories. The Tantalus Adventure Camp combines all of our favorite tours and programs, proving to be the best (and most unique) summer camp around!

Campers will explore, climb and sightsee along the Sea to Sky, from Squamish to Whistler.

  • Whistler Glacier Tour – Discover the ancient Whistler glacier on this fun walking tour!
  • Peak to Peak Gondola – Experience the famous Gondola in Whistler with 360 panoramic views!
  • Squamish Via Ferrata – Campers will navigate a climbing course unlike any other!
  • Sea to Sky Gondola – Sightsee Squamish’s peaks and valley from the suspension bridge & viewing platforms.
  • Shannon Falls – Campers will go on an interpretive walk to the falls.
  • Rock Climbing – Campers try their hand at Rock Climbing in famous Squamish crags!
  • Guided Hiking – Explore the Sea to Sky corridor and its natural gems.
  • Aboriginal Education – Campers learn about First Nations history and culture.
  • Low Ropes Course –  This exciting games course requires communication and cooperation to complete.
  • Canoe & Pond – Campers can access the nearby pond and canoe for some paddling.
  • Sports & Games  -Campers have free time with access to on-site sports and fun games.
  • Nature Walks – Around Cheakamus, campers go on walks and learn about local flora and fauna.

Base Camp


The Cheakamus Centre is will serve as the youth’s home base during the adventure camp. Immersed in nature, surrounded by rivers and tucked away in the forest, Cheakamus Centre is renowned for a reason!

Packing List

Coastal weather can sometimes be unpredictable. The adventure camps will proceed rain, shine or wind, therefore campers must be prepared to spend the day outside in all types of weather. Please plan, pack and dress accordingly. Here is our suggested packing list.

  • Is transportation included?

    The adventure camps will include transportation to/from the activities. This leaves time for campers to sit back and enjoy the scenery of the Sea to Sky corridor.

  • Where will I be staying?

    Camp participants will stay in one of 9 rustic heated cabins at the Cheakamus Centre, Squamish BC. The centre offers year-round lodging tucked away in a peaceful natural surrounding. To see a layout of the cabins, click here.

  • What food is included?

    Food will be prepared and served by the Cheakamus Centre’s chefs. Cheakamus supplies locally sourced and thoughtfully prepared meals. Meals contain wholesome ingredients, making food from scratch, using their own herbs and vegetables from their garden. “This way we accommodate a wide range of special dietary needs, food intolerances and allergies without having to radically alter the menu, minimizing “special” servings. Sugar reduced diets, vegetarians, vegan meals, gluten free, and other food allergies are all far easier to accommodate when you use whole ingredients and are certain of their source.”

    *Cheakamus Centre is a nut-restricted facility, which includes all meals provided by Cheakamus Centre. In addition, any snacks containing nuts or nut products provided by an individual is strictly prohibited. This also includes any skin care and hair products that may contain nuts

  • Who is supervising my children/family?

    Mountain Skills Academy & Adventure’s certified guides and instructors are providing 24-hour supervision for camp participants. The team is made up of long-term guides and outdoor educators with years of experience.

  • What paperwork do I need to sign?

    Registration for camp and adventure activities requires signing 3 waiver documents, a medical form and reading over the information package thoroughly. Please download the documents below, fill in, sign and return to Mountain Skills Academy & Adventures for registration to be completed. Children under 19 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

    In addition, please be through with any medical or food conditions as well as listing an emergency contact outside of the participants attending camp.
