The Whistler Peak Challenge is an exciting guided alpine adventure to the Peak of Whistler Mountain. This half day tour includes a little hiking, some scrambling, and basic mountaineering techniques.

ADVENTURE DETAILS BELOW...
The Whistler Peak Challenge is scrambling while roped on beautifully featured rock and a terraced ridge right underneath the Peak Chair on Whistler. You do not need to be an experienced climber or mountaineer to tackle this climb. If you have done the Whistler Via Ferrata and are ready for the next challenge, this is it!
We provide all the equipment needed including harness, helmet, ropes, and hiking boots if you need them. No experience is needed and a moderate level of fitness is suggested.
- Good fitness and agility is recommended.
- All climbing gear is included, although it is encouraged to use your own if you have it.
- Meals and transportation is not included.
- Suitable for most youth 15 and up.
**The price of the tour does not include a gondola ticket. Gondola tickets are available for purchase at checkout.**

Morning Adventures: Meet the guide at the Escape Route Alpine Demo Centre in the village before you take the gondola to our mountaintop office.
Afternoon Adventures: Meet at our Mountaintop Office. To get to the mountaintop office, take the Whistler Gondola all the way to the top. Walk out of the gondola station about 100m and look for the wooden building on the right.
Note: The Whistler Village Gondola takes 30 minutes from bottom to top and line-ups can get quite busy, so plan to get to the top with plenty of time before the start of your tour.
At the mountaintop office, the guide will have you sign a waiver and be outfitted with your climbing gear. You can also borrow hiking boots here.
All climbing equipment is included.
- Climbing pants (light pants that allow maximum mobility)
- Tee shirt
- 2 Mid layer fleece or wool top
- Weatherproof shell jacket
- Down or synthetic insulating “puffy” jacket
- Warm hat

At the top of the gondola you will be in an alpine mountain environment where weather and conditions can change fast – it is best to be prepared with extra clothing layers.
