Our certified climbing guides set everything up and provide professional instruction. Designed to ensure the safety and climbing success of each participant.

Camp Location: This camp is located in Squamish. Kids will be groups depending on previous climbing experience and given individual mentorship to develop skills.

August 9th – 13th & 23rd – 27th
Our Kids Climbing & Adventure Camps give your children the chance to explore different styles of climbing, learn rope skills, safety habits, and build climbing techniques. When we are not climbing we teach your child important outdoor skills in a fun and interactive way to inspire adventure. Our certified climbing & hiking guides set everything up and provide helpful advice along the way. Designed to ensure the safety and climbing success of each camper.
Kids Climbing & Adventure Camps are geared towards kids between the ages of 7-12. Kids are closely supervised by highly trained adult guides while exploring the beauty of Squamish.
Squamish is located about halfway between Vancouver and Whistler. If you are driving from Vancouver International Airport, make your way north through the city towards North Vancouver. You will get on the scenic Sea to Sky Highway (Hwy 99 North) and follow it north to the town of Squamish.
The teen climbing camps are located at Squamish Municipal Campground and from here we will walk to the best climbing spots in Squamish!
Camps include climbing tours and instruction, climbing gear rentals, and all safety equipment.
A typical day at the Kids Climbing & Adventure Camp comprises of two sections, either the morning or afternoon focuses purely on climbing one activity. When your child is not climbing we focus on building key outdoor skills through fun games and activities. Exceptional instruction from our trained guides, partnered with a remarkable location makes MSAA Kids Adventure Camp a unique and special place.Drop Off: 9am at the Smoke Bluffs Parking Lot
Pick Up: 3pm at the Smoke Bluffs Parking Lot
Below you will find a sample of an itinerary for the camp:
Day 1: Rock climbing basics (knots and belaying) + climbing & Team building exercies
Day 2: Climbing day & Outdoor skills/hiking
Day 3: Movement skills on rock & Navigation games
Day 4: Climbing Safety & Skills Progression
Day 5: Culmination day
What do I need to pack for camp?
- Comfortable, loose clothing
- Weatherproof shell jacket and pants. Shorts are acceptable depending on conditions
- Warm layer(s)
- Light gloves
- Hiking shoes or sturdy closed-toe shoes
- Rock Climbing Shoes
- Sunscreen (or any other UV protection)
- Water in a refillable water bottle
- Lunch (Please make sure your child has a full lunch to keep them energized throughout the day)
- Snacks (Please no items containing nuts)
- Small Backpack
- Sunscreen and bug spray
- Belay device
- Locking carabiner (minimum of 1, but more is great) (the above items can be provided if you don’t own them)
Weather varies from warm, dry days to cooler, rainy days. Daily temperatures at the camp in July and August range from 12-24 degrees Celsius (55-75 degrees Fahrenheit).
Bring a mix of summer clothing and warmer clothing for the cool nights and mountain activities. Bring a small backpack on outings to carry a water bottle and any extra layers in case the weather changes while we are out.
Sample Day Itinerary:
A typical day at camp comprises of two activities, one activity in the morning then another in the afternoon. Exceptional instruction from our trained guides, partnered with a remarkable location makes MSAA Kids Mountain Adventure Camp a unique and special place.
Day 1: Drop off location for the first day will be at the Squamish Municipal Campground.
Day 3: Pick-up location for the final day will be at the Squamish Municipal Campground.
Breakfast will be served by our guides to fuel the you ready for a full day of activities. Breakfast includes:

Worked up an appetite? It's time to replenish your energy stores ready for the afternoon activities. If you still have energy left the guide will be ready for a quick game or you can chat with new friends your have made!
Time for dinner - a different meal will be prepared by your guide each evening! We will also be serving a delicious pudding or you can stick with fruit if you prefer.

Campfires, quizzes and much more in the evening. Enjoy the evening with your new friends you have made during your days activities.
Time to chill out after a hard day full of fun activities! Then lights out and time to sleep before doing the same all over again tomorrow.
