The Women's Backcountry Series
AVALANCHE SKILLS TRAINING 1
Duration: 2 Days
Prerequisites: Average Fitness & Intermediate Skier
Our AST 1 teaches you the knowledge foundational to all backcountry travel. From how an avalanche is formed and how weather affects the snow, to route selection and companion rescue, your backcountry journey begins here!
CREVASSE RESCUE & GLACIER TRAVEL
Duration: 2 Days
Prerequisites: Strong Intermediate Ski/Board Level
Backcountry skiers and alpine climbers learn the three all-important skills: rope ascension, crevasse rescue and glacier travel. This is a great next step to start getting into more complex terrain.
Ski Mountaineering
Duration: 2 Days

Expand your backcountry tool kit! Our ski mountaineering course will help you grow your skill set, covering the technical skills required to take on more advanced objectives, you will be ready to tackle tougher terrain.
Spearhead Traverse
Duration: 3 Days
Prerequisites: Very Good Fitness & Touring Experience
Spanning 13 glaciers above 2,000 metres the Spearhead Traverse is pristine alpine terrain. Explore and tour the vast Garibaldi park all while sleeping under the stars. The ultimate Whistler Backcountry adventure!
