From Denver, Colorado, Brett pursued the off-beaten-path of snowboarding after a highly successful high school athletic career. He is passionate about taking people into the mountains so he chose to study Outdoor Recreation Leadership at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville. From backcountry snowboarding to backpacking, rock and ice climbing, kayaking, and canoeing, he’s led trips all around North America for multiple organizations. Brett has been heli-ski guiding in Alaska since he was 20 and plans to continue pursuing the "craft" of guiding for some time to come. He's a member of the Canadian Ski Guide Association (CSGA), Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA) and holds a Top Rope Climbing Instructor certification with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). When Brett's not out guiding, you'll find him instructing courses, dangling from ropes, sleeping under the stars, or catching waves somewhere warm.
