If you have a route or objective in mind that you don’t see listed on our site, why not consider taking a privately guided trip to help you achieve your mountaineering goal. We will work with you to plan your custom adventure.

Sky Pilot Mountaineering Ascent:

(Location: Squamish / Duration: 1 day / Fitness: Very Good / Ability: Intermediate / Prerequisites: Previous Mountaineering)

The Sky Pilot Mountaineering Ascent provides you with an aerial experience, rising 2,130 meters directly above the Salish Sea. The mountain stands as a proud pinnacle among a spectacular cluster of peaks. The ascent to the summit is considered a moderate alpine climb, initially ascending the Stadium Glacier to either the South or West Ridge, past the Pink Slab crux and to the summit. The Sea to Sky Gondola provides easy access to the trail head. Guests can choose between a one day “summit push” ascent or a two day trip.

Guests can choose between a 2-day or one day ascent. As well as more overnights in order to achieve the triumvirate of Co-Pilot, Sky Pilot and Ledge peaks.

Pirce: 2 people: $399 1 Person: $749

Mount Garibaldi

(Location: Mount Garibaldi / Duration: 2 days / Fitness: Very Good / Ability: Intermediate / Prerequisites: None)

Mount Garibaldi (2678m) is one of the most well known peaks in the Sea to Sky Corridor. The NE ridge of Mt Garibaldi is the most popular route offering steep snow and ice climb leading to amazing views of Howe Sound and the surrounding peaks.

Price: 1 person only: $1,749 2 or more people: $899

Wedge Mountain

(Location: Wedge Mountain / Duration: 2 Days / Fitness: Good / Ability: Intermediate / Prerequisites: Previous hiking/backcountry experience)

Hike Wedge Mountain, the highest mountain in Garibaldi Provincial Park at 2,904 metres.

The Northeast Arête route is mostly lower angled snow, but is very exposed as you make your way across the arête to the upper flanks of the mountain. The first day is hiking to an alpine hut where you will spend the night before attempting the mountain the next day. From the hut, you’ll make your way up the sweeping Wedge Glacier to the start of the climb. Descend the mountain back to the hut to gather your gear before descending the trail to the valley.

Price: 1 person only: $1,749 / 2 people: $899

Mount Matier

(Location: Mount Matier / Duration: 2 Days / Fitness: Very Good / Ability: Intermediate / Prerequisites: Hiking/backcountry experience an asset)

Mount Matier (2,770m) is an attractive and popular mountain offering mostly moderate routes of good variety.

The normal routes are on the northeast face which involve a glacial approach and descent. About three hours of climbing on mostly 45 degree snow and ice (late season) ascends to the rocky summit where the panoramic views of Joffre, Slalock, Vantage, and beyond are stunning.

For those with additional time interested in climbing more, there are pure rock routes on Matier as well as Joffre Peak nearby with multiple worthwhile routes.

Important Information

We strongly recommend you purchase insurance for Trip Cancellation, Emergency Evacuation and Adventure Sports Coverage (some backcountry adventures are excluded from coverage).

Emergency Evacuation and Medical Insurance

This coverage provides you with emergency air rescue if required and full medical. Parks Canada provides free evacuation within the Parks and if you are a Canadian resident your medical will be covered by your provincial health plan (except ambulance/air ambulance transport). We strongly recommend international visitors purchase this insurance.

Emergency evacuation insurance is compulsory for all our hut trips, as these typically take place outside of Parks Canada’s jurisdiction.

Trip Cancellation Insurance

To prepare for unforeseen circumstances we strongly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance at the time of booking your trip. Trip Cancellation insurance covers many scenarios to reimburse you for cancelled trips outside of your control.
