Adventure Information

From November to February, approximately 1300 Eagles flock to the Squamish and Brackendale area to feast on the salmon as they swim upstream to their spawning grounds. Our Eagle Viewing Tour is located in an area exclusive to MSAA and inaccessible to the public. It also happens to be the best place to view the Eagles in the Squamish area!

This unforgettable experience includes a relaxing walk along the river, with plenty of opportunities to get some spectacular photographs, as well as  interpretive information from our knowledgable guides about the Eagles, Salmon, the surrounding ancient forests, local First Nations communities and more.

The Eagle Viewing Tour runs at 9am and 11:30am on Thursday, Saturdays and Sundays.

During the two hour tour, your guide will walk you along the river while describing the local area and First Nations communities, as well as pointing out nearby wildlife and giving you information on the Eagles and their long history in the Squamish area. Wander through towering cedar trees and enjoy the soothing sounds of the river as it rushes by, while seeing more Eagles than you can count and an immense amount of salmon swimming upstream.

After the tour, you will be able to have a hot drink and a snack by the cozy fire pit on the ranch.

If raining on the day, a fire pit may not be possible so the guide will take you on a slightly longer walk and finish with a hot drink and snack.

Feel free to bring any camera equipment, although we request that you do not bring along any drones as this can scare the Eagles away and affect other guests viewing opportunities. We also recommend you bring any binoculars or telescopes to afford you a closer look at the Eagles.

Please make sure to wear warm clothing as this tour takes places from November to February and temperatures can be very low.

We recommend warm boots, layers and gloves, as well as toque/beanie and a scarf.
